Meet Anna Durrett
Anna is an independent consultant helping nonprofits, media outlets, foundations, and companies elevate their profile, communicate their impact, and break through the noise to connect with their audiences.
Anna previously served as communications director for the CEO of First Republic Bank where she led internal communications around key banking and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Previously, Anna spent six years at the public affairs and communications agency Global Strategy Group (GSG), where she led strategy and media relations for a wide range of clients, including: The Lippman Commission, Vera Institute of Justice, NARAL, DSCC, The New York Botanical Garden, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Giffords, and Everytown for Gun Safety.
Prior to joining GSG, Anna served as press secretary for the New York State Senate Majority Leader and for U.S Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD). She also worked at public affairs firm Solidarity Strategies, in the Rackets Bureau at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, and on both Hillary Clinton’s 2008 Presidential and 2006 Senate campaigns.
Anna graduated cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University and was named one of City & State’s 40 under 40.
